After long wait, Bugatti Veyron supercar replacement also officially launched called Chiron. The new car from the French supercar manufacturer is one of the most notable models at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 exhibition.

Why it called Chiron?

Chiron is the  half-horse men figure in Greek mythology code. However, despite the mythical little bit, the Bugatti Chrion name actually came from Louis Chiron – one of most successful Bugatti Gran Prix racing’s member in the 1920s and 1930s.

It is the world’s most powerful commercial supercarin 12 hours

With a capacity of 1478 hp supercar Bugatti Chiron is the most powerful commercial when unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. However, only 12 hours later, Koenigsegg launched Regera with engine capacity up to 1,500 horsepower.

Compared with the Bugatti Veyron, Chiron engine possesses a capacity greater than 25 kW. Acceleration 0-100 km / h in just 2.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 420 km / h.

Maximum speed faster than announced

Although the maximum speed of Chiron announced that 420 km / h, Bugatti said supercar Veyron replacement can run faster and reaches 450 km / h at Ehra-Lessien test line. Bugatti Chiron dashboard also limited to 500 km / h.

Not a Hybrid Car

Chiron is not follow the trends such as Hybrid McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918. Instead, the Bugatti supercar based on a lot of cylinders, turbocharged, engine size larger to produce remarkable strength.

Engine capacity of Chiron has 8.0L  with 16 cylinders and fuel injected by 32 injectors and 4 hypertension. Every minute, the engine needs to load 60,000 cubic liters of air. The friction and combustion process also produces heat in bulk so Chiron need to 10 radiators.
